WORKSHOPS

ELST has provided 2 residential workshops in India. These have helped young professional Tibetans to enhance and to improve their English language communication skills. They can then work even more effectively for the benefit of themselves, their families, and local and world communities. For volunteer instructors the Workshops have provided an opportunity to interact with and learn from the Tibetan community in exile.

ELST ran workshops in 2001 and 2003.

ELST paid the course material, residence and living expenses of Workshop participants. Where necessary travel costs were also reimbursed.

The Workshops and the volunteers from Cambridge were funded by the generosity of individuals, companies, Cambridge colleges and trusts.
